After consulting with Hal, I have begun work with the matrox- a device which is aptly named since the 'i' in matrix is stretched to an 'o' just as the device creates a stretched display of 2400x800 , allowing me to serve all the video from one stage in Isadora and develop the show on my laptop.

I have done as Hal advised: divide the left field of the matrox into four cells and zoom in with scan converters. I have been worried about my 2.1 GHz power book not being able to dish it all out, but so far I've been keeping it lean and using a lot of jpgs animating them in Isadora whenever possible.

I am a bit unhappy with the way things are looking right now, but perhaps it is because it has all been uphill for the past week trying to get all the cues into the patch and all the media compressed and in the right place. Afer all there will probably be 20 something scenes. The whole piece is divided into 27 sections, but I don't know yet if each section will require it's own scene in Isadora.

I have been playing a little bit with funny transitions; sometimes with newspapers spinning like in old movies or body parts. I am still looking for ways to gel these elements together...
